Before showering, add salt to your shampoo to fix one of the most common hair issues.

Because our hair is a reflection of our beauty, the majority of us spend a lot of money on maintaining it by purchasing pricey shampoos and other hair products that promote healthy, shiny hair. However, there is no need to spend that much money when the best product is already in your possession. It is affordable, simple to find, and most likely already in your kitchen. We are referring to table salt.

When it comes to your hair, this natural component works well; using it will strengthen your hair and clean your scalp of fat and dandruff. The skin will also be exfoliated, and hair growth will be encouraged. Your hair and scalp will be healthier overall as a result.

Let’s go over each advantage salt can give your hair in more detail.

Use salt for hair:
1. Prevents Excess Oil

If you deal with greasy and oily hair, salt is the right solution for you. Salt can control the excessively active sebaceous glands on the scalp, which produce too much oil. Simply, add 2 or 3 tablespoons in the shampoo you usually use and wash your hair with it. The results will be visible after the first few treatments.

2. Anti-dandruff treatment

Dandruff is a layer formed on the scalp from small pieces of dead skin cells. Salt can stimulate circulation and eliminate dandruff flakes, protecting your scalp from fungal growth. You need to divide your hair into sections and sprinkle 1-2 tsp of salt on the scalp, massaging it gently with wet fingers for 10 minutes. Wash it off as usual.

3. Hair growth

Salt is extremely beneficial for hair growth. It prevents and stops hair loss and stimulates the growth of new hair. You should wash your hair as usual and then, massage your wet scalp with sea salt for 10 – 15 minutes. Then, wash your hair again. Repeat this procedure twice a week for 2 months.

Use salt for skin:
1. Softening body scrub
make a combination of coarse sea salt and 2 tsp of coconut oil. Mix them well and use it to scrub your body gently in a circular motion to eliminate dead skin cells. Wash your body with a shower gel once you are done scrubbing.

2. Face toner
sea salt will penetrate into your skin pores deeply and clean them. Moreover, it will control the production of oil and fight bacteria to prevent acne. Mix 1 tsp of sea salt and 4 oz. of water (warm) and pour it into a spray bottle. Spray it on clean and dry skin 1-2 times daily and avoid the area around your eyes.

3. Face mask
for sensitive and easily irritable skin try this mask to soothe your skin and prevent irritations. It will help you keep oil secretion under control and hydrate the areas of dry skin. Mix 2 tbsp. of sea salt and 4 tsp of raw honey, apply it on dry and clean skin, avoid the area around your eyes, and let it act for 10-15 minutes. Finally, rinse it off with warm water.
