Given the state of the world today, it should not come as a surprise that many individuals must work nonstop in order to exist.
You’ve probably heard a lot about people who try to game the system, about the select few who appear to manage without employment, about people who are able to support their lifestyles without employment, and about those who are the beneficiaries of other people’s generosity.
But for every so-called “freeloader,” there are numerous upright, moral people who work hard to sustain themselves. These individuals work as many hours as they can each day to try to make ends meet, despite the fact that some of them may be struggling financially.
According to accounts, one of them is Bethany Provencher. She was a dedicated single mother of an 11-year-old kid who lived in Miami for 18 years before migrating to St. Charles, Illinois, a few years ago in hopes of a fresh start.
Because of her 25 years of experience in the customer service sector, Bethany was able to land a position at an IHOP in the neighborhood and sign a lease for a brand-new condo in The Magic City.
Even yet, she was aware that things would be difficult for a while because, according to all accounts, she lacked the money to properly furnish her new flat.
Then, on the final day before the new year, a well-known couple entered the IHOP Bethany was working at and sat down in her section of the eatery.
It didn’t take Bethany long to identify the man as Donnie Wahlberg, who was with his wife Jenny McCarthy.
Bethany reportedly struggled to suppress her happiness. The waitress had always had a soft spot for Donnie since she loved the band New Kids on the Block, which he was a part of.
Bethany was therefore thrilled to be working with him. She was unaware of the profound impact that day would have on the rest of her life.
After Donnie and his family finished their lunch, the artist settled the $35.27 bill and wrote a note on the receipt for Bethany to read. Happy new year and thanks, Bethany, was written next to a cartoonish grin.
According to reports, Donnie begged Bethany to hold off on looking at the receipt until he and his wife had left the IHOP. Bethany was shocked to discover that Donnie had left her and her coworkers a $2,020 tip when she finally looked at the receipt.
Donnie’s kindness is explored further in the video down below:
Wow! What a thoughtful gesture, and I’m sure Bethany appreciated it greatly following her significant relocation to Illinois!
