Sad pictures show Hachiko waiting patiently for his owner, and it’s really heartbreaking.

Hachikō is a famous dog known for loyalty and endless love. He became a cultural icon in Japan and worldwide.

The golden-brown Akita, a purebred, was born on a farm in Ōdate, Akita Prefecture, Japan, in late 1923.

A year later, a professor named Hidesaburō Ueno adopted Hachikō and they lived together in Shibuya, Tokyo. Professor Ueno worked in the agriculture department at Tokyo Imperial University.

Every day, the man took the train to work, and when he returned, his loyal dog would greet him. The clever dog would wait for his owner at Shibuya Station every evening.

Unfortunately, on May 21, 1925, Professor Hidesaburō Ueno didn’t come back. He had a brain bleed while lecturing and passed away without returning to the train station where Hachikō always waited for him.
